This book comprises newspaper reports from the time of Manchester United’s greatest games in European competitions, including the best and the worst possible moments. It starts in 1956 with a 12-0 aggregate win over Anderlecht, and on 6 February 1958 a 3-3 quarter final draw with Red Star Belgrade that United won on aggregate. On the next day many of the successful team perished in the Munich air crash. Just 5 years later the success continued as Manchester United stormed back to later win first the European Cup and subsequently the Champions League Cup. Newspaper coverage continues right up to the end of last season. All articles from 2006 onwards are printed in full colour.
This is a unique and wonderful gift for football fans and a must have for all Manchester United fans. Reproduced to near full tabloid newspaper size it is bound in a red luxury leather, gold embossed, hardback cover, to which a name is added. Further personalisation is on the title page.
